Dumfries and Galloway is a location steeped  in a rich and fascinating history as well as possessing an array of flora, fauna and wildlife. Robert Burns' Birthplace in Ayr provides a deep insight into Scotland's most renowned poet and writer. St Ninian's Cave and Priory, located in Whithorn, are places of pilgrimage dating back hundreds of years. St Ninian's Cave, tranquil yet haunting, and the surrounding areas such as Logan Gardens were locations used in the filming of The Wicker Man (1973).
